This is a master’s degree in engineering, not a Master of Science in engineering. It is a focused, professional degree designed for real-world applications, not an academic degree for following a research path. We created it to enhance the existing skills of working professionals and improve management opportunities.

Here is how it works.

The Master of Engineering degree program is designed for working professionals. In fact, you must have at least two years of professional full-time work experience to qualify for the program. It requires 30 credit hours (fewer than the traditional MS degree programs) over a variety of core, prescribed and elective courses.

A key component and differentiator of this program is your ability to choose from four areas of interest, including three in-demand specialized degrees: artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, or electric vehicles.

Overarching requirements include the following:

·       Six common core courses (including two management courses in project management and technical/technology management)

·       Four prescribed courses or four electives
